Ainda bem que é fim de semana!!!

The word “Ainda” is an adverb and it means “still” . “Bem” means “well”. But today we’re going to learn how to use “Ainda bem”  within a sentence.

This expression means “good thing” or “thank goodness” or “how fortunate that…”

Examples:

·        Ainda bem que o chefe não veio hoje. Tenho que terminar o projeto ainda!

        Good thing the boss didn’t come today. I still need to finish the     project!

·        Ainda bem que consegui terminar o projeto ontem!
